The aroma was very sweet with caramel and hard candy. I really ddn’t catch any rye in the flavor, the taste being honey sweet and loaded with caramel and only a modest ctitric bitterness that failed to give the drink balance. The aroma picked up an interesting blend of honey and rye.. sweet overall with too much blatent sugar present. Too sweet again in the flavor department with honey and caramel leading the way.. rye spicage increased toward the back and stuck around for a while on the finish.. OK, but I’d like to see more character from the specialty grains. Lighter-bodied and too sweet for my liking with decent balance.
