DavidP (1712), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jan 30, 2006 Served as the "Goat Toppler" bock. Dark bown body, thin bubbly head. Sweett aroma: dark brown sugar, a chocolate liquer thing, no bock tartness. The tartness comes about in the falvor where it’s acommapnied by brown sugar and chocolate cookies. Medium palate. A nice bock that has no outstanding qualities. JPDIPSO (4267), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Jan 27, 2006 Dark Copper brown color with minimal to no head. Went on tap last night and was found to be under-carbonated and nearly flat. Aromas of dark toasted malt, mild plums and a hint of noble hops. A dark berry and strong toasted malt flavor balanced by an odd, nearly english/floral hops bitterness. Not bad, but a touch too sweet and fruity for a bock.
