Rock Bottom Milwaukee White Tail Wit

Very light straw color, nearly has a milk color. Sweet malt, wheat and touch of zest in the aroma. Quite light in feel, nearly to light, but I don’t mind a light wit. Flavors of wheat and malt with only hints of coriander and orange. A very light wit, that would be great on on nice hot day.

On tap at R.B. Milwaukee. I thought this was rather awful... Very hazy, thick milky yellow pour with only a dusting of white head that stuck around for a few seconds. The aroma picked up an odd array of oranges with coriander, diapers, and milk... nothing good going on there. Flavor found some sweet banana and orangey notes, cloves, and dirty veggies... sour orange zest accents. This putzed around on the palate.. kinda milk with sour spikes. Tacky, ugly finish. Ick.

Tap. Cloudy yellow body, thin soapy white head. Wheaty aroma with some lemon peel and "spicing". Good flavor - malty sweet wheat with some dry huskiness in the finish garnished with a bit of that acidic orange peel and bitter coriander. Overall wheaty and dry with complimentary orange and coriander - a decent wit.
