shendrix (460), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Dec 18, 2007 Well, I’m not a fan of pale ales, and this one didn’t win me over. The flavor is mostly grassy hops backstopped by citrus and wheat. It’s not bad...just not my thing. BückDich (4558), Boise, Idaho, USA Oct 4, 2007 Draft @ Minneapolis Brewpub: Copper gold, light head and lacing. Nose of light grassy hops, sweet orange. The flavor is thin, malty, catty. Ok finish with a bit of hops. Decent. decaturstevo (1271), decatur, Tennessee, USA Aug 1, 2007 On tap at BP day RBSG 07 grand tasting. A golden pour with just a hint of amber. Some hop on the nose but not alot. Decent hops but not malt. Palate was a bit thin. The whole beer was a bit thin but not unpleasant. Could I drink it again sure. Would I, sure. Was it special nope. Immy (1583), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Jul 24, 2007 On tap (sampler) at the Minneapolis location, RBSG 2007 pre-tasting dinner. Clear gold with a small white head. Pleasant grass and citrus nose, some grain. Citrusy flavor tempered with some light grain, orange zest. Light herbal bitter finish. OK. Pigfoot (2225), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Jul 22, 2007 Question: why does the abbreviation for a word with one ’b’ in it, have two ’b’s in it?
Just one of those things, and something that has nothing to do with this beer...
Very clear, very light, a whispery pear-ish coloration, under a solid lovely white head.
Big fruit in the nose...pears, again, some citrus, apple, melon, ...but no, why not stop with pear, ...weird, but that’s it...nice, though...
Taste: lightness and bareness reign high ...minimal finish, as well, and small texture, too...not enough smack on the lips, here....and hardly enough body.
pity, I’m not happy being unhappy with beers from here...gets dry a bit at the end. But the body is so slim, and the flavor so scant, it’s very dsiappointing.
Needs more MORE, dammit!
Feels rushed, like a fill-in, ...ah, well...
