Hoonerific (14), USA Mar 16, 2008 This is simply one of the oddest beers I’ve ever had. It tasted like a mouth full of flower petals. It was INSANELY hoppy and flowery. The aftertaste was a KO punch of lingering complex bitterness. I loved it - I hated. It made me wince - I couldn’t stop drinking it. But one thing was certain, it was excellently crafted and had superior balance.
ElGaucho (1726), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Feb 26, 2008 Draft at Winterfest 2008, St. Paul, MN. West Coast hops in the nose. Nice. Dark amber body with no visible carbonation. Creamy, tan head. Best lace of the night among the 20+ beers I sampled at Winterfest. Creamy mouthfeel with solid balance. Very good. grimreeser (756), Minnesota, USA Feb 13, 2008 Pours an amber orange with a good sized head. Aroma of citrus with some earthiness as well. Nice flavor, not quite as bitter as the aroma would suggest. Nice mouthfeel. Solid. Skyview (3063), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Feb 13, 2008 On draught during the Winterfest 2008 in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. Pours a semi-clear cooper amber brew with a creamy off-white head that has some good retention and some spotty lacing. Aroma of light multi-grain biscuit, some grassy hop character and a touch of citrus zest. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with a Milk Bone dog biscuit flavor with some light grapefruit zest and some grassy hops. Finish is smooth, mostly hoppy aftertaste of grapefruit and some tangerine. robertsreality (2462), Minnesota, USA Mar 22, 2007 Hazy Gold/Orange Color with White Head. Surprisingly Wonderful Brew from Rock Bottom...One of the Brewer’s Personal Recipes...Using Centennial and Simcoe Hops. Nice Malted Foundation Balancing Out a Firm Hop Presence and Cittrusy Notes Througout. Not Being a Hop Head, I Would Still Go Down There Just For This Brew.
