Clear gold, moderately carbonated, slim white head. Mellow malty aroma with just a touch of hop presence. Smooth malt profile, nicely balanced with a slightly spicy, slightly flowery hop tang. Very smooth and easy to drink - a touch of smoke character (I don’t think smoked malt was used) in the aftertaste is intriguing.

Draft @ Minneapolis Brewpub: Gold, light head and lacing. Nose of light chemically deet and crisp pilsner malts and noble hops. The flavor is thin, creamy but a bit lacking in hops. The finish is way too thin, just nothing there after the flavor fades.

On tap (sampler) at the Minneapolis location, RBSG 2007 pre-tasting dinner. Clear light gold with a white head. Sweet, grainy nose, light malt. Cereal grain flavors, lightly perfumey and a touch of honey. OK.

On tap (sampler) at the Minneapolis location, June 2007. Mid gold colour. Thin, but complete, white head. Not a lot of aroma - just a touch of grainy malt. Sweetish initial impact on the palate. There’s a modicum of hoppy bitterness in the flavour, combined with a little bready malt. Has rather more backbone than the North Star premium lager sampled just before but doesn’t make a huge impact. Quite pleasant and drinkable.

Brewpub draft. Clear gold, small white head. Real grainy with some subtle, sweet perfume and some corn and a small hint of noble hops. Decent for a pils. Light body, balanced.

Sampled at brewpub prior to RBSG’07. Pours a clear, pale golden brew with an average white head with nice lacing. Aroma of light citrus, breakfast cereal, and honey. Taste is lightly carbonated, medium bodied with some grassy hop bitterness. Finish is clean, sweet and crisp.

On tap @ the brew pub: Pours a clear gold with a white head. Aroma, yeast, floral and grassy notes. Flavor, pale malts, some slight floral hop notes on the end. So so.

Clear gold color with a thick head. Barely any aroma, but just a bit of grain. Massive raw grain taste and oddly sweet for a pils. Some floral hop on the finish that bitters it up just a bit.
