argo0 (6289), Washington DC, USA Jun 26, 2007 Crystal clear straw body with white head. Aroma is mild, medium sweet, cereal. Taste is medium sweet, some grass, grain. Light body, some duskiness. BückDich (4605), Boise, Idaho, USA Oct 4, 2007 Draft @ Minneapolis Brewpub: Gold, light head and lacing. Nose of light chemically deet and crisp pilsner malts and noble hops. The flavor is thin, creamy but a bit lacking in hops. The finish is way too thin, just nothing there after the flavor fades. chriso (4420), London, Greater London, England Jul 16, 2007 On tap (sampler) at the Minneapolis location, June 2007. Mid gold colour. Thin, but complete, white head. Not a lot of aroma - just a touch of grainy malt. Sweetish initial impact on the palate. There’s a modicum of hoppy bitterness in the flavour, combined with a little bready malt. Has rather more backbone than the North Star premium lager sampled just before but doesn’t make a huge impact. Quite pleasant and drinkable.
badgerben (3234), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Jun 27, 2007 Clear gold color with a thick head. Barely any aroma, but just a bit of grain. Massive raw grain taste and oddly sweet for a pils. Some floral hop on the finish that bitters it up just a bit. Skyview (3063), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 6, 2007 Sampled at brewpub prior to RBSG’07. Pours a clear, pale golden brew with an average white head with nice lacing. Aroma of light citrus, breakfast cereal, and honey. Taste is lightly carbonated, medium bodied with some grassy hop bitterness. Finish is clean, sweet and crisp.
