Pleasant, fresh hop aroma, wrapped in clean malty blanket. A very good malt presence with the good load of hops and though not outstanding a well crafted, drinkable and tasty lager. ericnixon (719), Northampton, Massachusetts, USA

Strong German hop aroma that is just strong and fresh and bitter. The body is clean and smooth. Grainy malts start out the flavor profile but are quickly replaced by the strong, clean hop character. A well crafted, hoppy lager that was pleasant and refreshing. scraff (1955), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 31, 2006 Tap @ King of Prussia - Light hazed gold, thin fizzy white head. Nose held soft notes of florals, nutty earth, and grassiness, with faint fruity overtones. Well balanced flavors that turn towards the floral earthy tone throughout. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, crisp, clean, floral, fruity hop finish. A nice rendition in my book anyway... whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 26, 2007 Rock Bottom King of Prussia. Clear, bright golden yellow with a sudsy white head. Aroma has a malty profile with melon and pear notes plus floral hop characters. Good doughy pils malt depth in the flavor and moderately low hop flavor and bitterness. A solid session lager. Too few pale lagers are dialed in as well as this one. DrnkMcDermott (1865), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 1, 2004 Updated: Jul 23, 2008Re-rated from full glass. Now that I’ve had it served to me by the bartender who know a bit more than the waitron, I’ve learned it’s actually a Dortmunder. The color had caught me off guard, it’s still a Märzen type of copper. The fuller sample also let me taste a bigger load of hops than in most German beers (but still a German hop profile). Hops nicely counterbalance the lager "dryness" that keeps this from tasting like another pale ale.
Draft sampler. I’m categorizing this as a Märzen since the color and taste profile are closer to that than a pilsener. Definitely orange in color like an Oktoberfest, almost caramel roast with a nice smell to match. I told my neophyte beer buddy, "This is what your normal beer might taste like if they didn’t make it with rice and corn." SETANTA (581), Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA
