Sampled a cask version at the Milwaukee location. It pours to a dark chestnut/mahogany body with a thin white head. The flavor is sweet but not overly done powdered sugar, lightly peated barley, subtle red apple skins, light Dingemann’s pale malt. There is a subtle bourbonish quality. The aroma is much like the flavor with powdered sugar, red apple skins, interesting malt profile. The palate is sticky, non-carbonated, easy velvety feel. A very nice brew. Not overly outstandingly unique, but very well made.

Draught in Colorado Springs. Pours dark nut brown with a medium foamy head and lined lacing. Aroma is malt (chocolate, caramel, nutty). Moderately bitter, medium sweetness, milk chocolate and caramel malt, no acidity. Medium bodied and thin, fizzy palate.

Light toasted bread nose, ruddy amber, low head. Caramelly malt base with some toffee and raisin. Toaste grain dry end. Odd detergent-like aftertaste. Medium body.

Draft in Cincinnati. Brown color with large frothy off-white head that was lasting and produced good lacing. Heavy roasted malt aroma. Medium body. Moderate bitter sweet nutty flavor with a small alcohol bite in the finish. Good brew.

Dark coppery-brown with a thickish ring posing as a head. Hints of grape & light roast in an otherwise weak aroma. Vinously sweet/sour with caramel-malts hiding behind, moving to bitter herbal hops. Thick & smooth with a nutty finish. Alcohol presence prominent in the mouth, not the nose.

Tap in Milwaukee. Cloudy amber brown - which is a shade deeper near the top of the shaker - with a thin, creamy white head. Aroma is caramel, bourbon and crystallized sugar. Flavor is Jim Beam, smooth oak, caramel and roasted malts, nuts and crackled white pepper. Very smooth balance - easy going, but with character. Syrupy malts, but chewy. A fine rendition.

Draft at the Milwaukee location. Attention malt fans, if you like beer that tastes like LME, this is your beer. Very dark brown body w/ a thin white head. Woody / caramel aroma, some smokey dark malt notes too. The flavor is where the sweetness really comes through. Syrupy caramel, brown sugar, some wood smoke. Hasa pepper-spicy finish. I like the malt richness of the beer bu tit’s a little too sweet, there’s not enough hops or smoky malt to balance it out.
