Overall, a roasty grapefruit hop porter. Tart coffee and sweet cologne aroma. I almost thing the GF hops in taste come from Milwaukee’s "cask conditioning", as the cask red had the same taste. To me, very light for a porter, but a decent beer overall. pjk33 (384), Sligo - Curllsville Heights, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 20, 2004 Draught. At Rock Bottom at the waterfront in Pittsburgh. I enjoyed this one while playing hooky from work just for the hell of it. Nice nose of coffee and bitter cocoa, and the taste was the same. Good dark ruby color with a nice creamy head that did a nice job of lacing all the way down the glass. For a chain, Rock Bottom has always been good, no matter where I try their beers. This one was the same. A very nice porter. blank (998), Washington, Washington DC, USA
