Very hoppy, with flavors of smoky peat and hops dominating. A little thin as well. dwedin (238), Portland, Oregon, USA Apr 21, 2008 Best Rock Bottom so far. Aroma is malty, choc and coffee. Flavor is balanced and very tasty, smooth and clean as most of their brews are. troopie (507), USA Dec 11, 2007 Draught. Poured black with thin white head no lacing. Malty aroma with a bit of chocolate. Spicy and peppery flavour, not unplesent, but unlike most porters. Peppery finish. It’s hard to rate this, it’s so unlike most other porters. jasonp (1443), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA Aug 10, 2005 On tap at Portland location. Dark brown with ruby edges and a white head.
