| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 9, 2005 On tap at Rock Bottom in Bethesda, MD. Pours a nice cherry Kool-Aid red with small light creamy head. Aroma was nicely balanced between malts and hops along with some strawberries and hints of yeast. Taste started with just a bit of sweet malts and finished more strongly with some hoppy bitterness along with subtle tangy yeasty and strawberry flavors. On the thin side. thehipone (197), Australia

It is a bright red color with a diminishing white head in the pint glass. Starts a little sweet but quickly is backed up by a mild bitterness. Nothing terribly original or outstanding, but nothing offensive. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 27, 2004 Updated: Dec 4, 2006Translucent rosy-orangey-copper in color with a creamy, celestial strategy on top. Almonds sweetened with pistachio sauce get aromatically sanded down. Pale cocoa powder and some good ol’ fashioned nougats in the nose meet a distant whetted cardboard accent. Flavor is a touch bolder that this location’s other year-rounders, giving amaretto flavored caramel cubes room to grow. Pistachios meet a mild cocoa simplicity, and when looking at the cherry toffee traits, we bring up thoughts of spumoni. Wholesome vanilla wafer graham crust gets caramel cubes pressed upon it. Semi-harsh and persistent bitterness mires peeling duct tape off of the right side of the tongue. Altogether, a decent drinker. BuckNaked (1209), Tempe, Arizona, USA
