The aroma is sweet with a light touch of hops. While the flavor is sweet with strong notes of berries and caramel, as well as lighter notes of wood, leading to a dry bitter finish. I find it somewhat boring. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 2, 2006 Draft... Bethesda location... Mostly clear amber ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. The nose is a marriage of caramel, grapefruit, pine and apricot. Sturdy malt, but not standout. Hopped nicely. Leans slightly on the bitter side of balance. Medium-bodied with sufficient carbonation. Bone-dry finish. ¾ (5009), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 19, 2007 Bethesda location. Amber clear appearance. Fruity nose with light to moderate hop presence, mostly a fruit cocktail, pear and lightly toasted grain nose. Flavor is similar, lightly bitter, lightly hoppy pears and marachino cherries. Wet and slick palate, seems to be the standard with Rock Bottom beer. Just drinkable. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA

Copper color, light amber, light head and lacing. Nose of light fruity malt, no hops though. The flavor is balanced, but has no body, no subtle roast and a characterless persona. Uh.
