Tap at Strong Ale 2008. Pours black with a light brown ring. Nose is sweet roasty and malty. Taste is sweet and malty, slightly cloying, just ok.

Enjoyed this on tap at the downtown San Diego location. I have no idea whether the bartender gave me the wrong name even though I asked twice or whether its just that new but this one was a definite keeper. Complex and robust this pours jet black and tastes like a malt bomb packed with cocoa and alcohol. A really unexpected treat.
