Cask pour from the brewpub. Amber with a thick and creamy off-white head. Toasty bread aroma with light hops. Not quite as expressive as I was expecting a dry-hopped esb to be, but the cask pour with a sparkler probably mutes things a little. The hops show pretty well in the flavor though, with lots of floral and pine character. lean and bready malt with a nice toastiness and lack of caramel/crystal sweetness. Smooth mouthfeel with lower carbonation. Nicely balanced with a nice oily hop flavor.
