Charlotte NC Iron Horse Stout-on tap-pours a tan head that laces with black color. Aroma is sweet. Taste is roasty, dark malt, chocolate with coffee aftertaste. Not my taste but nicely done.

"Not a bad stout at all. poured a dark dark black with red edges, thin tan head which left good lacing. Aroma was of strong coffee and roasted malts. Flavor was of roasted and bitter coffee with a hop finished to it . Solid beer."

Pours brown/black with a nice white head. Smells of coffee and chocolate. The taste is similar but also has hints of whiskey. A nice beer, but was a little too dry for me.

Sampled at R.B. Milwaukee ("Stillwater Stout"). Dark brown/black body. Lasting nitro-looking tan head. Strange citrus roasted coffee flavor. Very light-bodied for a stout. Okay, but unexpectedly light (though, it was the end of my sampler).

I had this stout at the Bethesda location. Maybe it was just the batch I drank from but this stout was smooth and surely did not have a kick to it. It was the least bitter stout I have ever had. I’ll have to try this brew out at another location.

Coffee burnt aroma with hints of sweetness. Blaaaack. Not much body, but the hops and coffee bitterness kick you in the back of the palate just a bit. I remember this tasting a lot better.

Dense black appearance. slim cocoa-tan head. Aroma of vanilla, molasses, on the sweet side, not a hint of bitter, almost treacly, syrupy. Taste: There it is again on the buds, sweet and slick, with a trace of grain on the palate. Exceptionally smooth, great grit at the back, very substantial, full-bodied, with a dry, charcoal finish. Not exactly what I look for in a standard stout, could use more of the roasty-toasty, more depth, but it’s not a bad drink at all. I can see downing it without complaint while shootin’ shit about nothin’ at all...

On tap at the Milwaukee Location. Poured a dark black with red tints at the edges and a small sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of chocolate, light coffee, and roasted malts. Weaker body for a stout.
