emptytankard (31), Massachusetts, USA Mar 14, 2006 Granted this is a difficult style to brew, but none the less they failed. Sour, over spiced and sickly sweet. Nice try. frankenkitty (1833), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Mar 7, 2006 Chill-hazed copper with a thin skin and a white, creamy halo. Odd yet intriguing aromas are delicate and spiced with Belgian yeasts coming across as green banana. A thick body turns buttery after a syrupy start and is a welcome vehicle to carry the yeasts and spices to their full realization.

Night of the Living Ales II, Goose Island Wrigleyville 03/04/06

Cornfield (4412), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Mar 7, 2006 My notes for this one begin "WTF!" I like the idea of our local brewpubs attempting this style, but sadly this came across as more skunky than funky. The flavor is a soft malt with aniseed and some other undetermined spices. If it’s on tap at the brewpub, I’ll have to see if I can sample this one again.

Night of the Living Ales II at Goose Island Wrigleyville, Chicago, IL 03/04/2006
