Good citrus and varied flavour. Plenty of alcoholthat doesn’t outweigh the taste. Good hops the way you like it, bitter and sweet.

lots of citrus in this barleywine. citrus, cherry, licorice, with enough candi sugar to pucker your mouth. some other dark fruits, plums and raisins, a hint of red grape juice. interesting but mouthpuckeringly sweet and a sgary mouthfeel with a cross between an oily mouthfeel and thick.

On tap at brewery-A cloudy amber body with a nice white head and it has a big aroma of citrus and hops. Taste of hops,citrus,fruit, and alcohol. Nice tasting brew.

On tap at Rock Bottom Warrenville. Poured a hazy, dirty, caramelly-amber with a short-lived off-white head.. receded to a ring and a pool after a couple minutes. Sweet, alcohol-spiked dark fruits, well-toasted caramel, and a bit of candy in the very pleasant aroma. Flavor was definitely on the sweet side, which I was feeling at the time... brandied plums, mildly-smoked caramel, and more dark sugars.. sweet candy-like finish. Sweet and seductive on the palate.. some alcohol warmth and floral bitterness.. dangerously drinkable!
