Headbanger (1012), Aurora, Illinois, USA Jul 7, 2008 Draft at Brewery(4/24/08)-An aroma of malt and yeast on a hazy golden bodywith a small head. Taste of wheat, sweetness, and clove. Finishes dry but very nice tasting.
kseecs16 (601), Westmont, Illinois, USA Jun 16, 2008 Goldish, foamy white lacing head. Nice taste a hint of bitter and a potent dry finish. A bit grassy light palate a nice tingle. Pretty comparable to Kellerbier’s I have sampled in Germany, perhaps lacking a bit of malt body.
hopscotch (4679), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 8, 2008 Draft… DLD’08… Hazy straw-colored lager with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Sweet, grainy aroma with a dash of cracked pepper. Barely medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Balanced, but thin and bland. Inoffensive, at least. No real flaws, but no excitement; no passion. Cornfield (4412), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Apr 29, 2008 Kudos to brewmaster Griffin Ford for taking a stab at at a rare (here) style. (Only Flossmoor Station has come up with such a lager in the Chicago area in the past few years.) This pours a hazy yellow/straw body with a fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet and grainy with a soft grassy bitterness. In the flavor, the malt gets somewhat toasty in the middle and the grassy/herbal hop tastes grow during the drinking. A nice sessionable beer for the warmer weather that, at this rate, may hit the Chicago region mid-July.

Rock Bottom Warrenville, Warrenville, IL
