Cornfield (4412), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Jul 28, 2007 "Chill well and serve with the devilled eggs at your next picnic." - Steve Beaumont
I wanted to like this beer, but the warmer it got, the less it satisfied. Looked nice poured from the tap, a bright yellow with copious beading and a creamy head that laced in sheets. But the aroma held a strong buttery smell that overshadowed the initial whiffs of bready malts and grassy hops. Similarly, the flavor began with with tastes of bread dough and a sharp hop bitterness, but that got lost to the runny butter as it warmed. Still, it finished on a nice bitter note. But I would only drink this at very cold temperatures.
ILLINOIS RATING NUMBER 666 (out of 3599)!!!!!

Rock Bottom Warrenville, Warrenville, IL
