my second favorite at the pub and my favorite of their staple beers. thin head with an earthy brown color. roasty and toasty but not as heavy as you would expect a beer of this depth of color.

Jun 4, 2008 draft. pours hazy brown with off white head. nose is toasty, nutty, cookie. flavors of roast, cookie, chocolate. pretty flavorful brown.

May 9, 2008 Draft… <b>DLD’08</b>… Opaque dark brown ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Restrained chocolate and caramel in the nose. Medium-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Thin. Too sweet; not from too much malt; from too few IBUs. Mostly bland, lightly sweet finish.

Mar 23, 2008 brown color with tan bubbles circling glass. smells like coffee. tastes like coffee and caramel. creamy mouth feel withxa bitter coffee finish. mostly a sweet beer, a bit too much so for me.

Feb 21, 2008 6oz sample @ Brewery-A dark brown body with a nice tan head and an aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Taste the same with a nice roasted malt and a little chocolate thrown in on the back end.

Jan 31, 2008 (Tap) Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head. Dry, dusty aroma of cocoa, toffee and light hops. Taste includes crisp hops, chocolate, caramel, and creamy vanilla nut notes. Average palate and low carbonation. Creamy finish. It’s a pretty decent brew.
