hopscotch (4385), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 9, 2008 Draft… DLD’08… Clear copper ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Fantastic retention. I can only pull a rumor of caramel from the way-too-subtle nose. Light to medium-bodied with tingly carbonation. Lightly bitter with a hint of acidity. Finishes mildly bitter and lightly tart.
drewbeerme (1716), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 4, 2008 draft. pours hazy red with off white head. aroma is nutty and toffee. flavors are malty, grainy, metallic, nutty, toasty, clean hop profile that cleanses the palate. not bad at all. kseecs16 (472), Westmont, Illinois, USA Mar 25, 2008 Sampled from a fresh growler. Appears reddish amber, foamy non-lacing head. A strong malty aroma. Dry basic crystal malt flavor. Medium bodied with some lingering bitterness. Inoffensive and quaffable. Is this really supposed to be an ESB? dm9831 (530), Monee, Illinois, USA Mar 23, 2008 pours translucent amber, slight head. aroma of sweet malt, hoppy citrus hints. the flavor is a bit too sweet for me, and i didn’t detect much hops. not sure what the target is for this....
