Cornfield (4412), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA May 15, 2007 From the tap this poured a deep mahogany with little carbonation and almost no head. The aroma is faint, some lightly roasted malt and dark caramel with a mild nuttiness. The flavor’s about the same but a bit stronger than the smell. It finishes on a note of mild earthy bitterness. I missed the honey throughout the experience.

Rock Bottom Warrenville, Warrenville, IL
Ughsmash (3148), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Mar 3, 2007 On tap at R.B. Warrenville. Poure a deeper iced tea brown with a splotchy off-white head and thin ring. Aroma found sweet nutty notes and toasted caramel plus a hint of honey.. nice, but not too exciting. Grainy toasted caramel in the flavor with a nice honey influence.. drier floral hops and a nice sweet finish. Felt OK on the palate, but was far from memorable.
