Sharp clove carried by a moderate bitterness. Big notes of spices and flowers. Warming and drying. Pretty clean and well-made.

Palate was medium bodied and slightly syrupy. Flavors of pepper, ginger, and fruity with a warming, lingering sweet finish. Ernest (4285), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jan 26, 2003 Draught. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (cookie), moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs, lemon), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of banana and clove. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery (almost syrupy) texture, lively carbonation. Nice stuff, surprisingly...very aromatic and Belgian styled, well-hidden alcohol.
