DrnkMcDermott (1597), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Oct 3, 2008 Generous looking even for a Mug Club pour. Hazy dark yellow, with a pillowy weizen head. Smells slightly sweet and malty, few esters. Taste does have that citrus quality, some of which may be from yeast as well as hops. Light wheat spiciness works with a mellow malt sweetness. Worthy end-of-summer beer for a last-minute tap-filler.
kseecs16 (601), Westmont, Illinois, USA Oct 21, 2008 Growler. Pours a hazed yellow that shows a brilliant gold in the center of the glass. Thing white head clings to the glass and lingers. Aroma is light, citric with floral hop notes. Hops are evident in the flavor. Citric tartness is evident with a nicy bitter hop finish. Lacks any potent strong bodied flavor but is a nice, dry quaffable american wheat that present some nice flavor and bitterness. Light with a lively carbonation. drewbeerme (1895), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 5, 2008 on tap at RB Yorktown, or is it Lombard? pours hazy yellow with foamy white head. nose has some orange and lemon notes. flavor is yeasty with orange, lemon, and bready. body is a bit thin. nice wheat beer. Cornfield (4412), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Sep 30, 2008 Per brewer Tim Marshall, this is a new brew created quickly when he needed a wheat ale on tap. It poured a hazy yellow body with a good sized head and nice lacing. The aroma was dominated by tart oranges and tangerines over some soft, bready malt. Much the same with the flavor, juicy and fruity with a tart tangerine finish. I hope Tim saved the recipe for this one.

Rock Bottom Yorktown, Lombard, IL
