Cornfield (4262), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Jan 4, 2007 The "3" rating is about as high as I go for an American Wheat Ale unless something spectacular is happening. This is just "good." It’s a hazy straw bodied ale with a creamy head that reduces quickly into a film yet does some nice lacing regardless. It has a lemony smell with a dash of coriander and some sweet, soft malted wheat. Orange zest jumps out in the flavor with a bitterness that lasts into the finish, but there are few signs of other spicing. This would undoubtedly be more quaffable in warmer months.

Drnk_McDermott (1545), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Jan 3, 2007 Sampler, tapped 12/26/06. Cloudy, almost peach colored. Bubbly head. Light, spict wheat smell. Taste is very delicately spiced if this has ambitions of being a wit. Not much of a wit, but a nice tasting beer.
