Commercial Description:
(Gold Medal Winner, 2007 Indiana Brewers Cup.) Our unfiltered German Style Hefeweizen is brewed with a 50/50 blend of malted barley and white wheat for a soft, round mouthfeel and bready flavor profile. The Bavarian yeast strain produces dominant clove flavors with underlying bananas and vanilla notes.

Cloudy, golden creamy lacing white head. Rich wheat clove aroma. Nice rich palate finishes crisp and tart. A good job of a german style hefe with the fresh spice and fruit aroma and flavors.

On tap at Yorktown. Pours a hazy golden glowing body with bright white head that begins to dissipate very quickly after pour but sticks around at a point. Banana and clove aromas not as strong as hoped for. A bit fuller Hefe body, strong banana and clove initial that mixes and balances well with the same flavors and citrus on the backend. Very smooth balanced finish. Probably my favorite Hefe to date. Wonderful!

This poured hazy and yellow to golden in color. The aromas were "classic" showing off banana, clove and yeast along with a vanilla edge. The palate begins off nice but turns a bit watery in the midpalate and ends abrubtly. Good start but falls off to quick.

On tap at Rock Bottom Yorktown. Rock Bottom Yorktown Gogootz Hefeweizen is a hazy yellow color with a very nice fluffy white head. The aroma is nice with soft wheat notes and some citrus, clove and corriander hints. The flavor is very creamy with a nice finish but slightly sour aftertaste.
