Commercial Description:
Brewed with powdered lactose for a creamy smooth mouthfeel, our Milk Stout is full-bodied and Onyx in color. Chocolate and Black malts lend roasted and dark chocolate flavors to balance the lactose sweetness. Pushed with nitrogen to add to the creaminess, this is the perfect complement to a chocolate dessert.

Growler from the pub. Opaque with a wispy tan lacing creamy head. Aroma is burnt and roast malts. Very strong roast character with a rich creamy finish. Hints of molasses. Medium bodied with a nice roast aftertaste. Nice. I always love a good milk stout!

Rich, dark brown color with a small, light brown head. Pleasant roasted coffee/cocoa aroma. Creamy, but almost too sweet coffee/cocoa flavor. Nice after dinner ale in lieu of the hot brew.

Nitro... DLD’08... This beer rocks!... Pours tar black with a mid-sized, creamy, beige head. Nice retention. The aroma is all milk chocolate with touches of vanilla and coffee. Full-bodied and ultra-creamy with active carbonation. Leans a bit on the sweet side of balance with generous offerings of unfermentable sugar and chocolate. Finishes sweet and chocolaty. I’m thinking this beer was put together, much like Dieu du Ciel’s Aphrodisiaque, to be served on nitro. Without being dumbed down, it might be a bit overwhelming. Served as it is, it’s a gem! World class brew!
