Cornfield (4412), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Sep 7, 2006 This pours a hazy amber body with a frothy white head that dies quickly yet manages to do some fine lacing for the duration. The nose is caramel with a touch of toffee and some solid PNW hopping, grapefruit, zest of lemon, and a bit of pine. This has a well balanced flavor, the sweet malt and the bitter hops blending into one refreshing taste. Mild, lingering bitter finish. Good session stuff.

Rock Bottom Yorktown, Lombard, IL
Ughsmash (3148), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Mar 3, 2007 On tap at R.B. - Yorktown. Poured a slightly hazy light medium golden with a short white head and thorough lacing. Sweet, juicy pear and grapefruit in the aroma.. sweeter toffee notes beneath and hints of pine.. very nice, but a tad weak. Floral and grapefruit bitterness stood out in the flavor.. still somewhat restrained.. sweet, juicy base. Very drinkable. Medium-bodied with moderate bitterness.. decent flow. Walt (2291), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 1, 2008 Cask: Pour is hazed orangey amber with a dense sticky off white head...smell faintly citric and earthy...taste is nice and toasty with a faint lingering citric bitterness....nice.... drewbeerme (1895), Chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 22, 2008 on tap at RB Yorktown, pours cloudy gold with white head. nose of piney, grassy, grapefruity hop notes. flavor is much of the same, actually pretty hopped up for an APA. very sessionable and surprising how hoppy this is for a regular line up RB beer. I also had this on cask and it was served at room temp and tasted infected. the cask score is 5/3/3/2/8=2.1. frankenkitty (1833), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Oct 23, 2006 Thick-hazed amber with oodles of carbonated streams. An extremely creamy, ecru head settles wet yet fluffy. Despite the excess force carbonation, it looks like a hand-pull. Intense grapefruit with lemony notes and fleeting hints of sugary candy. A little thin and alcohol infused yet a strong hop character remains bitter, tart and intact. For an APA, this could compete with many brewpub IPAs.

On tap at Rock Bottom Yorktown, Lombard, IL 60148
