kseecs16 (601), Westmont, Illinois, USA Jun 16, 2008 Light hops, light body, fizzy finish, crisp refreshing. Grassy. A slightly hoppy twist on the usual bland blond ale sstyle results in a crispy brew with a enough hops to make it interesting but seems thin and weak overall. Not bad, but too flimsy.
Cornfield (4412), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Jul 20, 2008 Nice light Summery drink, clear yellow/gold in body with a pillowy white head. Faint aroma, some graniness and a touch of citrus. The hops rescue this one for me. If one is going to brew an American Blonde, one may as well toss hops at it... and I know brewmaster Tim Marshall likes his hops. It has a soft tartess, some wheat, dry grasses, and a citric bitterness to the flavor. Good refreshing brew.

Rock Bottom Yorktown, Lombard, IL
SQNfan (500), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Jun 19, 2008 Clear light yellow in color with a fluffy white head. The nose had faint citrus and herbs. The palate was light, crisp and refreshing. drewbeerme (1895), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 15, 2008 on tap at RB Yorktown. pours clear straw with white head. a spicy and grainy nose. this is loaded with spicy hop and a touch of sour grain in there too. a surprising hop bitterness comes out of no where to finish this out. very watery body. the spicy hop profile really over takes the extremely low malt profile. DrnkMcDermott (1597), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Jun 9, 2008 Two samplers at RB Yorktown. This must be the very definition of session beer: I went through both these glasses without bothering to write many notes.
Draft: Clear, macro-pale color, a thinnish head with some cling. Couldn’t match much smell beyond a basic beer impression.
Cask: Cloudier in the glass, with a frothier, longer-lasting head (a switch from the usual cask vs. draft, no?). Definite wheat beer smell with hints of ale fruitiness. Relaxing, thin cask mouthfeel. Nice conversational brew with some warming alcohol qualities.
