MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA Jun 26, 2003 Deep red-brown body, light mocha head. Nose is mildly scotchy, a bit of chocolate. Excellent malts in the flavor, good caramel character. Finishes slightly smoky, somewhat sweet. Enjoyable. raymow (736), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 12, 2003 Pretty good but it looks and tastes more like a stout than a nut-brown ale. larsniclas (3079), Gothenburg, Sweden Jan 24, 2004 Bottled.
Redbrown.
Nutty aroma with notes of toffee.
A bit thin and dry.
Nutty flavour. Sturgess (173), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 28, 2002 I like Brown Ale’s immensely, and I was extremely impressed with this brown ale. It was very nutty and left you with a good feel. argo0 (6289), Washington DC, USA Mar 19, 2003 Huge head atop dark brown body. Aroma is nutty malty, minimally sweet. Taste is quite nutty, lightly roasty, and medium sweet. Medium body that shows off a pleasant combo of the roasty and the sweet.
