This is what the younger crowd in CR drinks when they are trying to get f’d up. Basically higher alcohol fizzy yellow beer. It tastes exactly how you would imagine....

Aug 8, 2009 A few 12 oz. bottles at various establishments on vacation in Costa Rica. I don’t know where the 4.7% ABV listed above is coming from because all botttles my friends and I had said 5.9%. And therein lies the justification for this beer- it is, as far as I can tell, the least expensive beer you’ll find in Costa Rica and with easily the highest ABV among its peers. Pours very light golden yellow with quick white head; less carbonated than most Ice beers stateside, which made it surprisingly smooth (and dangerously easy to chug). Not much to the flavor, a little grain and maybe a trace of hops, but had a sweetness that was hard to pin down. Has a purpose and serves it well.

May 27, 2009 Had to try this while in CR. Other than that I have very little to say about it. I kind of wish I actually had rock ice instead of this.

Apr 22, 2009 This is a thoroughly unpretentious and unrisky beer. It was watery but refreshing and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Similar to the "ICE" offerings here in America. But it was in Costa Rica.

Sep 3, 2008 I guess this is the "Ice" version of a brew in CR. Clear golden and a little less impressive then the other Costa Rican offerings which can be found.

Pale yellow color, decent white head. Lively carbonation. Strong aroma of cereals, plastic and cardboard. Light palate. Quite watery and tasteless. Only some cardboardish flavors with sweet maltyness. Almost as bad as lemon version of this.

Jan 14, 2008 From bottle. Not as terrible as I was expecting but still not very good. Watery, but slightly hoppy, and a little bit more complex than most generic american lagers. If in Costa Rica, I’d definitely avoid this one though. Go with one of the Bavarias or an import.

Dec 7, 2007 Bottle. I had read that this one was a little more hoppy and thats right. Some hopps in aroma and taste else a quite ordinary lager. Not very exciting but the best I tried in Costa Rica.
