Bottle. Clear ruby color. Aroma is honey, blackberries, grass, and straw. Flavor is slightly bitter with fruit skin and an alcohol bite. Some notes of vines later on.

Bottle. A nice blackberry red color with a subdue nose. Taste is honey with a black berry sour finish. Quite good really.

Tasted at the fifth annual Colorado Wine Tasting Festival in Manitou Springs, CO. Red color with a watery nose - disappointing in fact. Blackberries finally come through in the taste.

No head (still). Body is clear dark purple. Aroma is notes of honey, black cherry, blackberry, alcohol. Flavor is heavily sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Medium body, watery texture, flat carbonation. Pleasant, just not much depth, as with most of this meadery’s products.

Very sweet overall: nose, flavor, finish, everywhere. The blackberry flavor is syrupy and sweet, seems a bit candy-like. Roasted woody flavors in the finish mesh with the semi-sweet honey. Interesting stuff.
