Jul 25, 2005 Bottle. Pours pale gold with no head. Oak and musty initial aromas with honey and fruit(grapes). Honey and muscadine flavor with hints of butter and fusel alcohol with a dry finish. Dry and light bodied, syrupy.

Dec 8, 2004 No head (still). Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is light notes of honey, lime/lemon rind, wet stones, fusel alcohol. Flavor is heavily sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Medium body, watery texture, flat carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Was kinda hoping this would be the most interesting of the four traditional meads, but the aroma is very weak. Acceptable balance, but just so boring for a mead...the opposite of vibrant.

Aug 15, 2004 Light yellow appearance. Nose seems like a musty and sour floral experience... honey, sweet sugary wine or alcohol. Peaches in the flavor as well. A simple mead... very wet.
