acrdz (4248), Pennsylvania, USA Aug 15, 2004 Sampled @ the meadery. This one is called the driest of their meads, and it hits that. The palate has the harsh dryness of a good gueze, sucking the moisture from the roof of your mouth. Flavor-wise, its not so great. Some light white grape wine flavors, soap perhaps. Simple, really. Ernest (4197), Boulder, Colorado, USA Feb 20, 2004 No head (still). Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is notes of alcohol and paint thinner, light notes of grape and honey. Flavor is moderately sweet, heavily acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic. Medium body, watery texture, flat carbonation, lightly astringent. Very simple. The aroma has problems...it smells somewhat like a malt liquor mixed with white wine. Big thumbs down.
