Growler poured a clear dark brown nearly black with red highlights and a small lingering brown head. Aromas of coffee, milk chocolate, light vanilla and a hint of smoke. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of milk chocolate, coffee and light vanilla with a smooth malty finish.

Sep 24, 2008 Draught. Pours black with an average, frothy, light brown head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (chocolate, coffee, toasted grain), light hops (herbs), average yeast (leather) with notes of toffee and licorice. Medium bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.
