Excellent beer. It begins with a very appealing roasted aroma and finishes off with a flavor to match. Its smooth and roasted flavor is wonderful and pleasing on the palate.

Mild coffee and creosote aroma. Super smooth, creamy cocoa flavor. Stout bitter quits quickly on the backend. Excellent.

Coffee and Biscotti! This big oily black mug of beer gave off a nose of Cocoa Puffs and Morning Blend Starbucks coffee. A bit gritty towards the dry end, this warmed up to a bready, chocolatey, toasty beauty!

Apperance is black. Little head to speak of. Flavor is of roasted malt and chocolate. Palate is a little thin and bitter. Overall I think this is a good dry stout very similar to a Guinness or a Murphy's.

Nice black color with a creamy tan head. I thought it had a thin body and a narrow flavor profile for a stout. Balanced nicely, with a small amount of bitterness to offset the mild flavor. Very drinkable with a smooth clean finish.

The aroma was a bit weak compared to my pre-rating days. The head was decent and flavor was roasty and chocolatey. A solid stout.

Dry and smooth, definately, but also has a burnt toast and coffee flavor as well. Just enough hop presence to get not your attention, but far from overpowering. Finishes smooth, with just a little bite.
