Jul 14, 2003 Orange colored - lighter than I expect for a Scottish -thin head that disappears quckly. Malty, spicy aroma. Rather sour flavor, then maybe some nutmeg and walnuts coupled with some mild smokyness. Thin mouthfeel. Interesting interpretation of a Scottish.

Sep 7, 2002 This was a very wonderful tasting beer it was very high inalcohol content and it even had a very pleasing tatse... I hade it on vacation and it made the trip worth while.. if your in the smokies you had better try this beer......

Mar 17, 2002 A wonderful soft malty aroma tinged with a hint of smoke. A very nice rich dark tawny color. Very nice fruity roasted malt flavor with smoke in the background. Smooth and silky on the palate. A malty finish with touch of hops. Best brewpub beer I have had.
