Nice hop bite, and a smooth mellow flavor. This brewery seems to be steadily improving, and they had some wonderful seasonal offerings - Smoky the Beer, a smoked porter; and this year’s tasty (and potent) harvest ale. Definately worth a try if you are ever in the East Tennessee area. stephen (308), California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 5, 2002 Light aroma. Peaty, a tad smokey and red malt bittered. It is indeed dry, and bitter on the backend. Lingering red malt palate. StevieMSU (64), Kentucky, USA
