Commercial Description:
Washington State hops import a dry, citrus character to this strong pale ale. Unfiltered and dry hopped to retain its natural character.

On tap @ the Brewpub: Pours a clear gold with a white head. Aroma, citrus and some pale and bready malts. Flavor, bready, citrus, some yeast, pale malts, herbal notes. Citrusy finish.

Sample @ brewpub: One of the standout beers here from what I tasted. Pours an amber color with a thick frothy head. Medium-bodied and drinkable, this has a citrus hopped character. A bit buttery (as I have noticed in some of their other beers as well) but bitter enough to be an IPA.

This is a very good beer. Clear amber body with a good head. Huge citrus and a touch of juniper. Nice pale malt backbone with a touch of sweetness balances otu the hops nicely. Lingering bitterness.

On tap at the brew pub. Deep golden color with a creamy off-white head. Nice lacing. Deliciously fresh cascade hop nose. Tons of red grapefruit and orange rind flavors with some apple sauce and a peppery spiciness. The mouthfeel makes you realize the difference that the process of bottling makes. Nice drinking beer.

Just enjoyed a few of these over dinner yesterday; the previous post is about the most descriptive I’ve ever encountered (I would have never thought of "vitamin c pills disintegrating in the mouth") so I’ll just say that there’s a super fresh hoppy aroma (akin but not as strong as Bell’s Hopslam) that made my mouth water. At only 5.5%, I could even enjoy a few without winding up face down in my uber-delicious mac and cheese.

Semi-hazed and caramel orange in color with a creamy, tan-tinted head capping most of the top space. Bitter American cascades linger in the nose with dandelions caught by honey, along with a touch of sugar saturated marigolds and lemon grass. Stark oranges meet a brisk flavor bitterness, encountering Vitamin C pills disintegrating in the mouth. Enzymes of orangey-tropical persuasions are in abundance. Some pulpy manifestations are the heir apparents, but the bitterness is piercingly dry without much of a caramel cushion to aid the pushing. Medium-bodied, with candied tangerine tongue sprits leaving a cotton mouth afterlife of lickspittle orange pulp in its final hour.

I picked up a growler of this while on the way to friend’s house for some holiday revelry. Seemed more interesting than bringing the boring bottle of wine. Turns out our friends aren’t into craft beer, so there was quite a bit for me to enjoy! Appearance was a hazy orange with a bright white head that traveled well in the growler. Aroma is a strong citrus/cascade-hop smell, and quite pleasing. Taste was also of citrus notes, and quite boldly bitter also. A nice blend of wholesome bitterness and citrus-ness. Mouthfeel was rather sticky, as are most very bitter IPAs, clinging to the roof of your mouth. Despite this, I found the beer very drinkable, which I proved by drinking the majority of the growler on my own.

On tap, pours orange/yellow with a white head. Aroma is the expected cascade hop aroma. Flavor is citrusy, again typical of cascades, and a somewhat bitter finish. A good overall IPA.
