Brigadier (1220), Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA Mar 24, 2009 On tap at brewpub
A slightly above average seasonal beer, this was not bad with my lunch. Perhaps a little too sweet for my tastes I still found it not a bad choice. If the goal was a sessionable beer with a light aftertaste then the brewers have succeeded.
Aroma / Appearance - The foamy head packed down over time before disappearing completely. Left behind was an amber body with plenty of carbonation. Sweet and sticky the nose alternately reminded me of pretzel rods and caramel drizzled over french vanilla ice cream.
Flavor / Palate - The taste on this was much like the aroma. Balanced and drinkable it did not really stand out nor did it reveal any flaws. The nutty finish had me contemplating a second but in the end I opted not to as time was short.
