I really yum yum this beer. Skinnyviking (4142), Copenhagen, Denmark Jan 13, 2007 Bottle. Low white and quickly disappearing head. Hazy red body. Aroma of vinegar and berries. Complex flavor of raspberries and cherries sweet and yet a bit sour without too much bitterness. Pleasant and round. Could get addicted to it. JensenTaster (1585), Denmark Jan 11, 2007 (on bottle) Copper red, no head. Casis allover, with notes of dirt, fesh leavesand fresh wood. Holds it´s sweetnes nicely, but is not that complex after tat. The finih gets more interesting, with ajoust of tangyness and acid from out of nowhere, very good or the overall impression. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Jan 10, 2007 Bottle @ Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen. Cloudy brown / red color with a small off-white head. Aroma is cherry, wood, candy, vinegar. Flavor is heavy sweet, and acetic (vinegar) with a average duration. Very complex in well balance ... very very nice ... Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Jan 9, 2007 Bottle, vintage tasting @ Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen. What a beer and defiantly one of the evening’s big experiences I thought. Initially I thought this had similarities with a soft drink or “fruit syrup” that I had as a child. Head was spare, white and mostly diminishing. Spare lacing. Color was ruby red and extremely pleasant to look at. Aroma was very complex with notes of berries. Assisting notes of cherry, bubble gum, apple, pear, peach, raspberry, toffee and light notes of sweet flower and citrus. Also able to detect some champagne / vinous and vinegar like notes. What a lovely sniff and mouthful. Medium to full bodied with a sticky texture and a flat carbonation. Flavor was well balanced between the moderated acidic and light sweet notes. Quit pleasant and average lasting finish. Wow what a beer, one more please! Theis (3617), Denmark Jan 8, 2007 Bottle at DTE - Ratebeer night (06-01-07). Deep red - white edges. Cherry, winegum, sweetcandy, "bike-glue", vinegar, dry. Fantastic combination of sweetness and sourness - very complex. Too hard to explain - i can just claim this: I Love It !!! Har nogle rigtig gode kvaliteter. shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA Dec 19, 2006 Courtesy of a Secret Santa I still haven’t discovered. This beer must be more than 6 years old if not older. The pour looks completely flat. A muddy red beer with no head except for the tiny ring of tight bubbles around the edge. Aroma is a little muddled at first. Sweet, sour, definitely fruity. The flavor is immense! Well blended from years of age (I’m assuming) but still quite vibrant. The begining is almost a touch watery, but then the flavor slams home with huge fruit notes and candy sweetness, but then it rakes over my tongue and throat with palate cleansing acidicy. Absolutely fantastic!!
