Pal is full lightly tart creamy swallow.
Flavor is a great lightly tart cherry a nice sweet back w a great balance & smoothness & lightly dry hopy finish.
I’d barely say this is sour enough to be in the flemish category but it’s damn good there.

Aromas of tart cherry and vinous notes of grapes. Flavor was not as sour. Cherry Pie came to mind. Very very tasty. Thanks as well to Tom for letting this one come to us. scraff (1954), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Could smell this beer all day if given the chance. Tons of wood, oak, earth, and dried sweet cherry. Well balanced with sweet and sour battling to the finish. Medium to full bodied, pillow soft carbonation, drying cherry and oak finish. Just awesome!

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Nov 22, 2004 Cloudy reddish tea. Sour nose, cherries and vinegar. Flavor very cherry, punchy fruit jumps up, great balance of sour on the back side. A nice marriage between underwhelming fruity flemish sours and overpoweringly sour ones. Starts sweet on the tongue but oh so tart in the end. A nice drink but I can’t handle too many. tronraner (1933), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 26, 2007 Bottle, split with SpringsLicker, Suttree, and decaturstevo. Pours a dark amber with some whitish head (and quite a bit of cloudiness since I got the bottom of the bottle). The aroma is bread with raisin, cherry, and a healthy dose of sourness. The flavor has a good sour bite to it, but in a smooth way if that makes sense. It is bready with orange and cherry notes throughout. The finish is dry, toasty, and still a bit sour. Very refreshing. Excellent beer. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

The aroma is fan-freakin-tastic with some cherries, oak, apples, and some herbal hints. The flavor is fairly sour with cherries, woody hints, nuts, brandy, and a hint of alcohol. Why did they stop making this again. An excellent beer! Joeh (1908), Buckinghamshire, England

Poured into the glass, this is deep read with a fine, patchy head. Cherry aroma. Flavour is wonderful, cherry - very fruit and tastes fairly aged. Refrained sweetness and some acidiy - fairly sour and tart. Thick. I’m suprised I liked this one as much as I did.
