Shared a champagne bottle at a three person tasting. As I did not note everything I am stealing some notes from Madvike who noted everything. It pours a rosy brown with no head. The smell was the hardest part for me to get pas. Smells acidic and sour with that balsamic vinegar smell. To get the taste you have to get used to the smell. I could not get much of the flavor until I was one with the aroma. Taste is cherries and dark fruit with sour, acidic, and balsamic vinegar again. There’s a whiskey flavor near the end and a faint cinnamon in the background. I am very new to sours, but this grew on me as I tried more. Still don’t think that it will ever be my beer of choice, but who knows maybe it will continue to grow on me even more…

Bottle - Pour a rosy brown with no head. Smells acidic and sour with that lovely balsamic vinegar smell. Taste is cherries and dark fruit with sour, acidic, and balsamic vinegar again. There’s a whiskey flavor near the end and a faint cinammon in the background. Hmm. It’s medium-bodied and pleasant in the mouth. Didn’t knock me off my feet, but a solid sour.

Very strange taste, acid and without body. This beer is like vinegar. Not for me (sorry for this bad quotation).

Bottle thanks to MrBunn. Starts out with the aromas Id expect, sour green apples. Pours a dark red/brown with a somewhat fizzy head. Flavors are a wonderful mix of apples, cranberries, some unripened grapes, vinegar and a modest funk around the edges. Palate is quite tart with some sweet and a good smooth drinkability.

GONAD CRUNCH BARRED ! Thin lacy head and pungent aroma from this fruity Guezuesque beer. Dark and crimson with a hint of fizz, this unique taste stays as pungent from start to finish, and redolent of sour grapes. It feels alive as you drink it and despite the odd flavour you cant help enjoy it

Draught at TND: Aroma of dark ripe fruit, cherry, malts, alcohol, light funk, slight lactic acid, and a hint of funk. Poured brown/ruby in color with a medium to large-sized, creamy, dense, off-white/tan head that lasted throughout. Light to medium tart, lightly sweet flavor. Tastes of light funk, barnyard, cherry, lactic acid, and slight oak. Medium body. Average texture. Average to lively carbonation. Funky, lightly tart, cherry finish is a smidge sticky.

Wow. The first sour I’ve really enjoyed. Flavor smells of sour green apples, under-ripe citrus, and tart cranberry. Flavor matches, and the wild yeast/bacteria flavor that I’m used to is very understated, which is great. There are no off or unpleasant flavors...or if there are, they are well hidden. A very mellow sour, which may come from the blending of aged beer with fresh, which is characteristic of this style. A very interesting, easy drinking sour, that I’m glad to have experienced.

Pours a red brown dark color with a thin off-white head. Aroma of sour fruits and spices. Flavors are strong and kicking, very sour and little sweetness with lots of fruits like pears and apples and some cherries. A little lambic like. The Rodenbach glass has a football in the foot of the glass, I think because the owner of the brewey is also the owner of a Belgium football team.
