Very sweet candy cherry aroma. Smells like cherry pie filling. Sweet and tart cherry flavor. Like liquid candy. bhensonb (4361), Woodland, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 8, 2007 Aroma of slightly sour cherry. Sort of a clear cola color with a purple tinged whitish head. The head left quickly. The taste starts with cherry. There is a sour cherry note. It is sort of sweet and sour. Refreshing. Nice. After awhile there is something of a woody note. The sour ale may have been in oak. Brings strange results in my head. Where are the cherry IPAs? cspring (14), Maineville, Ohio, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Feb 4, 2007 Bottle. Definite cherry aroma. Tasted cherry from start to finish. Not my type of beer but it does live up to its labeling as a fruity refreshment, although the cherry is more than a touch. thestank2004 (2), USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 31, 2007 A nice tasting beer,if you like a fruit beer it is a decent choice. Tastes more like a fruit beverage then a beer. Great aroma and looks good in a glass most women will like it.light body, thin feel, soft carbonation. Cliff (366), Avon Lake, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jan 31, 2007 Bottle...green bottle? Poured a beautiful deep red color with a thick white head. Aromas of cherries and spice. The cherry aroma almost smells artificial, but it’s still nice. Sweet cherry flavor, candyish, thin mouthfeel. Not much complexity, pretty much just cherries and a bit of spice. Sweet aftertaste that lingers for a bit. Pretty refreshing beer, and I was pleasantly surpirsed. Maddog (248), Kettering, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 22, 2007 Whether it was fair or not, this beer had high standards to measure up to. First, it is from Belgium with a touch of cherry, so it would naturally be judged against a lambic. And second, it is from Rodenbach, so comparing this beer against their Grand Cru was inevitable. Both of these situations created impossible expectations to live up to. Still, a very refreshing beer, but way too light in body and flavor. It lacked the cherry or the sourness that I was looking for, although it was certainly a beautiful pour. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 19, 2007 Thecherry beer lives up to its reputation. Pours a rich cherry red. Smells of cherry, tastes of sour cherry. You get the idea. It tastes just like a cherry jolly rancher candy. Almost exact. I could drink one of these at a time as a dessert beer, but could not drink numerous ones or i would probably get sick. cchubb (73), Minneola, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 19, 2007 I think that this beer is underrated by many of the other reviewers on here. The prize here is subtlety, not usually known in a fruit beer. Smart, tart aroma of cherries, of course, with a backing of nuttiness and oaky vinegar. Taste was the nice part, subtle but no missing the tart cherry flavor. No thick cough syrup coating your palate. Light enough to be had before or after a heavy meal.
