Bottle at Kurt. Hazy red. Aroma moderate malty (cherries). Flavor moderate sweet and acidic. Light body.

Bottle. Aroma of sweet and sour cherries, really smells like pretty natural cherries to me, not at all medicinal, maybe sweetened, but still quite powerfully cherry. Flavor the same, sour cherries first, then balanced by sweet cherries, with notable Rodenbach acidity. Finish is again very tart at first, but a level of sweetness keeps it from being puckering, does actually have a Jolly Rancher character in the finish as Blaze312 said. With all due apologies to the purists, I very much enjoyed this one, whether it be beer, a beer drink, or something in between.

Bottle. Pours a hazy red body with a pink head. Sweet and sour cherries with some light fruit and a thin seltzer body. Hints of balsamic and some cherry pit. Its an okay fruit beer.

11.2oz bottle at a tasting. This one was later into the tasting. Pours a redish color with light head. Taste sour/sweet cherries. This beer taste almost exactly like a cherry jolly rancher.

11.2oz bottle, dated 5/5/07. Lots of cherry in the nose as well as some wood & vanilla. Dark red, excellent clarity, obviously filtered. Smallish pink head. The initial taste is strong sweet cherries with a touch of tartness followed more wood & vanilla. The sourness seems almost completely covered up, there is nary a hint of acetic acid present, but the finish is mildly tart, no more so than a wheat beer flavored with a mix of sweet and sour cherries. It is pretty tasty for a fruit beer, the fruit flavor is natural and somewhat intense and the barrel characteristics of the base beer shine through. Too bad it wasn’t bottle fermented or else this would have been an entirely different beer, but it is good-for what it is.

12-oz. Pours a crystal clear bright ruby red. Loose sudsy gray head. Huge sweet cherry nose, like a soda pop. There’s a decent amount of aroma that smells like real fruit. Has some tartness at the finish but mostly tastes like a non-alcoholic soft drink. Still, well made.

11.2oz bottle. Sticky sweet and slightly tart cherry aroma. Very little Flemish Red influence. Mostly tart cherry skin. Pours an attractive brownish/red with a creamy dark pink head. Flavor is just like drinking tart cherry concentrate. Minimal malt profile. Tastes exactly like a cherry Jolly Rancher. A slight sourness on the finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. I usually like to write longer reviews, but this one is very simple and straightforward. Not horrible by any means, just rather basic and all about the Cherries. Thanks Matt!

Bottle from a trade with bierkoning. Thanks Edo! Deep unclear red with a big bubbly pinkish head. Aroma of sour cherries, light lactic hints and a bit of earth. Sweet real cherries flavor with light tartness, some wood notes and a bit of marzipan. Light-bodied. Like a sweet dumbed-down version of Alexander but still tasty.
