Aroma of sweet cherry and almost none of the lovely acidity that made Rodenbach famous. I was warned by the aroma and the flavor is totally disappointment. This is much too sweet and dominated by cherry to be balanced. Compared with Alexander this is just a bad, sticky joke. kennydiaz (186), staten island, New York, USA

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT THEY RETIRED THIS ONE. I ALMOST FEEL BAD THAT I TOOK ONE OF MY FRIENDS LAST ONES. smooch (111), Sylvania, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 2, 2008 just darn good. So many beers have a gimmick, but it doesn’t deliver anything. This one does with the cherry tartness married with the otherwise sour flavor of this ale. Goes down smoothly without beint too sweet. thewolf (5802), Kolding, Denmark

Pours a very beautiful ruby red. A medium, frothy, fizzy, slightly pink head. Aroma is a heavy dose of cherries, light caramel, some fruity tartness as well. Highish carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is a bit weak, but starts with a wonderful tarty cherry note. Turns a bit sweeter and the caramel peeps in at the end. Nice. daknole (3000), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

Fluffy head. Aromas of, well lets guess...CHERRIES! Cherry candy to be exact. And a delicious tart cherry flavor too. Loved it and man do I wish for more. afireinside96 (839), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 23, 2008 12oz bottle served in a stem glass. Pours hazy pink but collects in the glass as a deep reddish brown topped by pink foam. Smells like cherry sweet tarts, dusty and sweet. Tart cherry flavor but not nearly as tart as regular Rodenbach. Simple sweet and sour concoction that is quite pleasant, though not as amazing as I had envisioned. LilBeerDoctor (1521), East Setauket, New York, USA

This was my favorite beer when I just started getting into beer. Pours a deep red with a pretty, foamy pink head. Aroma of cherries, sweettart candies. Flavor of tart cherries and more candy. Nice tartness with just the right amount of cherry and sweetness. Ah, heaven...I’m so glad I got to try this again. A pity this beer is retired. ucusty (1900), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA
