Golden color with a small beige head. Aroma and flavor of sour fruit and vinegar. The flavor is sour with vinegar up front, malt in the middle and cherries at the end. It fits the Flemish Sour Ale style.

[1179-20080303] 375mL. Sweet fruity cucumber alcohol aroma, not unlike whiskey malt. Clear, orange amber body with quick white bubbles. Sour boozy geuze-like flavour has mild bits of everything (yeast, malt, grains) and all made lighter by its overall generic fruitiness. Medium body has a burnt-throat after effect. Definitely an odd duck but interesting to try.

Bottle (375ml) shared with HogTownHarry, tupalev & garthicus -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. 2004 vintage. Pours a clear golden-orange with no head. Aroma of sour fruit, some sweetenss and something else I can’t place, an odd funkyness or something of the like. I like it though. Flavour’s sour, acidic and a bit harsh to me, like vinegar and alcohol. Some cereal grain in there too. Finish is harsh as well, spicy and boozy. Average bodied. Not bad but it didn’t quite work for me.

Vintage 2004, corked half bottle
Clean copper color, without head. Light, strange aroma: plastic, some malt, light mature apples. Quite round mouthfeel, with some malt flavor, traces of paint remover, an unexpected cereals crispiness, and a non invasive but sharp acidity. In the final the cereals leave a breadish touch; the acidity attack the back of the throat and is not very pleasant. Only in mathematics chaos and complexity go together. Difficult to catch…

Shared by Rciesla on my 25th birthday. Pours flat and has the typical Rodenbach funk. Very nice and very drinkable. I like this offering.

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Garthicus, and Blankboy, courtesy of Harry via Jerc and Mabel. Nice cider like aroma - souir, some sweetness, almost a strong citrus like boozy aroma. Dark yellow, hardly any head. Taste is pretty interesting. Grainy cereal like sweetness and a lot of sourness. Very acidic finish. Neat and unique.

Thanks to HogTownHarry! Shared with Harry, Tupalev and Blankboy: App: Zero head even with huge aggitation, light, yellow, orange, almost like a cider, zero carbonation. Aroma: Sour, peppery ’sweaty’ (not in a bad way!) some corriander hidden in there too. Flavour: Initially sour, with a ’cornflakes’ grain underlining flavour, some pepper and salt too, very unusual, very different. Enjoyable, but initially I thought I didn’t like it, a few sups later, I loved it. Not an easy drink!
