Bottle. Clear golden colour with absolute no head. Sweet malty sour aroma and taste. Sour ales will never be freinds of mine.

Shared at Cleveland tasting 3/15: Pours a clear copper color with a white head. Aroma, sweet malty notes, grains, fruits and yeast. Flavor, dry fruity notes, yeast, grains, some sourness, very wine like, refreshing dry finish. Very nice stuff.

Bottle shared at the Cleveland tasting. Thanks ! I will say I am NOT a fan of sour ales. AT ALL. But this ended up being one of the top beers of the night for me. Perhaps because it was less sour then some. Pour was a nice golden color. The aroma was sour grapes. Taste was lightly carbonated, and had the flavor of a white wine going bad. It took a few sips, but this one definitely grew on me.

Cleveland tasting

The award for the best beer of the night goes to this. Once again from the cellars of miketd I was glad to have tried this. If it ever makes an appearance in the United States I may have to procure a few bottles for my own storage. The combination of sourness and vinuous characteristics make me wonder what would happen if Russian River were to get the chance to play around with New Belgium’s La Folie.

Aroma / Appearance - The carbonated bronze body had a nice bit of life to it. White grapes, apple, pear and tartness blended nicely in something that most closely resembles some of the stuff to come out of Russian River’s sour experiments.

Flavor / Palate - Sour dry apple fills the throat and nose after a delayed release. The tartness almost immediately sets to work removing all moisture from the throat. While not the most intense beer I’ve had this is definitely a contender. There are none of the aspects of the Grand Cry/regular/Redbach series here. This is a different beast worthy of seeking out.

Going from a winy sour and vinigar-like start to to a fruity and sweet body. The appearence is completly clear and the golden colour and the bubbles is similar to cider or a rosé-wine with no head at all. A heavy finish wtith notes of nuts and buttery fudge. You can´t tell that it holds 10 % alcohol. The bottle appeares in a very cool design.
