| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 25, 2008 Deep orange gold body with no head and barely an perceptable carbonating bubbles. The aroma was earthy with the lemons and some old leather. The taste was sour apples more than lemons. This was also leathery and metallic. An herbal, tart finish. Dry with low carbonation. ogglethorp (888), Ohio, USA

Pours a ruby/copper color with hardly any head. Aroma is oaky, cherries, citrus, alocohol. Flavor is again oaky, cherries, vanilla, citrus. Palate is medium to light, mild carbonation, finished nice and tart. Reminded me of NG nigma which is one of my favorites. Awesome stuff. pepsican (885), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA

You guys win at life. Rust copper pour with a few bubbles. Joey got 30, I feel ripped off only getting 17. Very tanic aroma. Flavor has plenty of wood, cherry, lemons, grape tannins, some grain. Very sour finish in the back of the throat, not so acidic on the old tongue though, which is odd. Good god man this is a very interesting beer. I kept smelling it over and over. Drinkability kills it just a tad. Anything more than a 8 oz pour of this and I would struggle to finish it. iowaherkeye (1858), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 24, 2008 375mL, Foeder 132, #006099 from pepsican. Clear caramel orange with 30 bubbles that took 10 seconds to fade. Lots of lemon and cherry sourness going on. Dry leather and wood are also present, as well as a bit of malt vinegar. Flavor is pretty sour again with a lot of leather, wood and all the same sour notes I stated in the aroma with some sour apple. A pleasant slight cereal grain sweet finish appeared after the semi-dry immediate finish, if that makes sense. Sourness/acidity probably peaked around a 5-6. Alcohol is covered very well, until after the 5th swallow there was a slight burn in the back of the throat. Medium body with just a slight tingle of carbonation, surprising since it was still. Really damn good. thewolf (5764), Kolding, Denmark

Pour is very fizzy, settles as a beautiful, orange brass-like golden colour with absolutely no head. A few bubbles swim slowly upwards. Stunningly complex aroma. Lots of wood, some cherries, apples, honey, light ginger, vanilla, toffee and lots of tartness. Fine, oily mouthfeel with next-to-no carbonation. Flavour is pleasantly tart, some fruitiness, light lemons, good caramel and a clear, dry, woody note. The aftertaste is simply stunning with so much woodiness that I might go lick the nearest oak tree. The 10 % are nowhere to be found. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 21, 2008 Bottle from miketd - thanks! Reddish-clear color with almost no head. Aroma has a nice dose of funky/sour cherries, wet wood, honey, apples, and sour grape. flavor is tart and sweet with cherry, cider/mead, wood, and assorted sour fruits. Nice mouthfeeel and acidity. A nice mix of flavors that struck me as 1/3 Rodenbach, 1/3 Cuvee de Tomme, and 1/3 semi-sweet mead. Nice! Marsiblursi (1646), Göteborg, Sweden

The aroma is sour/acid and woody with notes of vanilla, vinegar, cherries, buttery coconut, apple cider and some malt. The flavour is medium to heavily tart and acid with notes of vinegar, green apples, tart cherries and malt. The mouthfeel is dry and clean. Medium bodied. This is good! | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 16, 2008 Golden-orange color, small white head and crisp accidic nose. Aroma of rubarbe, unripe green apple, some lactic sourness, malts and crumble. A very tastefull beer with lots of complex sour accents that goes well with the sour malty caracter of the beer. Hgh alcohol is very well hidden. A great beer worth ageing.
